"To pray is to ask the laws of the universe to be annulled on behalf of a single petitioner. Admittedly Unworthy." (Ambrose Bierce)

No. There have been studies done time and again which have shown that prayer has no effect. And the study by the Templeton Foundation showed that people who knew they were being prayed for during surgery actually had more complications than those who were prayed for without being aware of it, and those who were not prayed for.

It's all just wishful thinking.

prayer is a way of communicating with the father in heaven many just do not believe in the power of prayer for them i'm very sadden for they are missing out on some thing that is so beautiful most thing's i do pray for GOD bless me with if i do not get what GOD sends to me then i know he has a reason for not granting my request as far as me praying for someone to be heal from sickness and he does not heal them it is for a reason that they are not heal some times GOD does let thing's happen in our lives for us to draw closer to him and depend solely on him but a few of us are stubborn and do not want to call upon the LORDwhen we encounter problems or trouble we think we can do it all, but we really can't how sad. some get christianity confused they think when bad things happen and the LORD do not answer them right away they run and hide just like adam and eve just like judas being a christian is not easy it takes staying power even in times of storms in your life

Prayer that pleads for things from God is useless. Prayer that seeks to find the inner strength to carry o is useful.

No, prayer is useless. You will get the same results from praying to a milk bottle as you would praying to god... why? because prayer does nothing, people only think it does.

Prayer is the most important piece of God's armor we can bear. Yes, there is much power in prayer; if one really truly places complete faith in God.

Praying to God is talking with God. We communicate with Him through prayer. Some times we see the prayers answered immediately, other times we see them answered when we least expect them answered. And yes, there are times they are not answered.

God will answer them in His time, not ours.

I believe in drawing power through prayer. I don't believe praying itself does anything that recharge me.

I only pray to God to thank him for things. I do not believe God intervenes in the world, nor does he have any reason for doing so. We are responsible for our own paths, both good and bad (if we are responsible for our sins, surely we are responsible for the good things, too).

Absolutely - if you do it sincerely and repeatedly, prayer has the power to prove to you that your God is not real.

Genuine, selfless prayer, yes. I've seen it work too often to not believe.
