I don't like the fact that some(not all) athiests and thiests are putting each other down. I am in this section so that I can spread the word of God but it hurts me to see all of these people saying crude things to each other. I think we should just ask questions that are respectfull. So my question is simple. Why put each other down? Why not just try to ask and answer questions so that we can understand one another better in a respectful way?

Many people want so badly to be right and lack the total background to argue their points effectively, however they know that they can at least jab and stick with mean words, sooooo, that's what they do. By the way, I think I may be an atheist, but I am 62 years old and the older one gets, the more open one gets. I am still waiting for a few more signs. This is not your way, I am sure, but I totally love and respect your way as so should you mine.

Some people agree with you but this is one of the worst places to spread God's Word because the only people that are on you side are Christians and some times even Chritians fight wiht each other because there are diffrent sects

To spread the word of god may be a good feeling for you but to imply that those who dont follow your religion will go to hell is an insult what you feel for your religion is good but to ask a person if they are interested in god before spreading his word would be the correct way to proceed to force your religion on others invites prejudice and anger God askes you to spread his word not to have disrespect for your fellow man's belief that is why he gave free will

Hey. I tried to help everyone get along. I put a nice question on here just to prove that we all could. And I'm an atheist. But only 9 people answered. What happened to "christian love" and all that.

You bring up a great point. The sad truth is that most people aren't mature enough to understand the concept that you can disagree with someone and like them at the same time.

I have no trouble with other people's faith (or non-faith).

I only have problems when overweening arrogance enters the picture and someone call me this or that or the other thing becuase they, themselves, cannot accept an alternate viewpoint

Would you consider the following spreading your religion or being disrespectful?

If you do not accept jesus christ as your saviour, you will burn in hell.

You may believe that you are not being mean, and just telling what you think. To others, it is being mean.
