HE DIED. PERIOD. Even if he came back, he still died and was tortured.

Well, battered women stay with their abusive husbands... maybe it's something like that.

Yes you're right does sound like something satan would do. God gives us free will and who you choose to serve will control you. People are direct by the devil to do evil. But God will make everything just in the end.

It's because of His boundless grace and mercy that we have the hope of salvation. He paid a price that we could not. As we were (are) sinners, If we all were crucified we would only be paying the price for our sins.

That is why He sent His Son, sinless, to pay the price for our sins. It's called redemption. Propitiation.

Hebrews 9:28 (NIV)
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

What God did in sending His Son down to earth to become our sacrifice and defeat the power of death forever, He did for US!!!

He didn't have to do that and Jesus did NOT have to lay down His
life for any of us, but He did -- out of His LOVE for EACH and EVERY one of us -- AND out of Love for His Father and His God
Who loves us SO VERY VERY VERY MUCH and wanted more
than ANYTHING for us to come back to Him -- but by our own Free will -- and Jesus is the only One Who could make ANY of this possible!!!

Jesus said that NOBODY could TAKE His life, but that He would be laying it down -- and that greater love hath no man than that He
lay down His life for his friend.

That is what JOHN 3:16 is all about -- LOVE!!!!!

The LOVE of God and His Son for fallen and sinful man is greater
than any of us can EVER begin to understand.

Imagine how the parents of our fallen servicemen and women must feel when these so-called peace activists just spit in the face of their sarcrifice and the sacrifice of their children who loved
their country so very much that they were -- and are -- willing to lay their lives on the line every single day for us and our freedom and lives....

How would you feel?????

Another example of laying down one's life for a friend when they did not have to occurs in the novel A TALE OF TWO CITIES by Charles Dickens.

I would ask you to go to the site -- www.FathersLoveLetter.com.

If you're being sincere in your question and you really DO want to
know and understand, I hope that you will pray and ask God to bring understanding and the light of His Love and Mercy to your heart and mind....

Please call -- 1-800-759 - 0700 -- 700 CLUB here in the USA
and talk with somebody....

satan would never sacrifice himself for anyone!!!

On the surface, your question and comment sounds like the taunting of people who witnessed the crucifiction....in different words, but the attitude appears to be the same, if that was your intent in all this....That is between you and God, Who really does know every thought and every word before you even speak it....

psalm 139///

BUT HE STILL LOVES YOU ANYWAY -- NO MATTER WHAT!!

YOU CAN'T MAKE GOD STOP LOVING YOU!!!

Yea Jesus was persecuted, but he didn't die. Remember that he rose from the dead after 3 days and later asended into the clouds to be with his heavenly father. God allowed this to happen to that man would have a way to again be with God.
