hehe...my sister's doing this! and she doesn't know it but we're making a collage of all of her baby photos and stuff to go on the wall! :) we're getting streamers to put up around it, and little metallic confetti "18"s to put on the tables :)
You'll prob'ly need lots of food......and we're having a bar because there's one there, but if you won't have one, lots of alcohol! :) Hope this helps! and happy birthday! :)

If you are entertaining persons of your own age then set a theme. That theme will dictate what decorations you need. Get a good DJ who can play music you like. Ask to see their music lists and make sure they have good people skills. Get some invitations drawn up you are now becoming an adult and this should show that. Check that the hall has an alcohol licence and get it extended if you need too with the local authority. Arrange for designated drivers to take people home.
Set a time for people to arrive and don't arrive straight away get the party started and arrive being announced as the party girl. Arrange for cards and presents to be delivered to your house and not taken to the party as you don't want to be looking after them but want to spend your time circulating.
Lastly invite us all..............

Just a few decorations in the hall.....loads of ballons that are written 18th..Remember its your 18 so you dont have to exagerate your decorations. Make it personal and nice....get loads of friends over and a few snacks....

get a karaoke/dj, someone that can do both on the same night, so you can have a dance...then if you feel like it, have a sing too....make sure you got LOTS of food, and LOTS of drinks....make sure you send invitations to everyone, get plenty of balloons with your age on them, choose your own colour, and put a few banners and photographs up on the walls....good luck

Just make sure you have loud music and lots of food and drinks. Your friends will do the rest.
