Tickets sell out immediately. You can enter a lottery to buy them, but you have to do it by September, and the entries are weighted toward patrons of Churchill Downs tracks. You can always buy General Admission, but you won't be able to wach the race live, only on simulcast (though you can still go to the paddock, I think). We are going, we bought a travel package including hotel and tickets. Very expensive, but we are excited about it.

Tickets for the KY Derby sell out every year. You will have to go thru a ticket broker to get seats for 2007. You must enter a lottery for tickets for the next year. I recommend entering the lottery as soon as the announcement is made in an attempt to avoid the broker commission on tickets.

The website below is from a random search for KY Derby tickets that I just made. I have NO affiliation with this or any other ticket broker site. This is just an example of what you will find in your own search.

Gransdstand tickets can get very expensive. General admission tickets are available on the day of the race and allow you access to the infield only - no seat. This is great if you are more interested in the Derby parties than the race.

I have always enjoyed wagering and viewing the race from a simulcast site or another venue that conducts live racing on Derby day. For example, Indiana Downs has live racing scheduled on KY Derby day.

Good luck in your search.

Each person cost $125.00 x 3 =$375.00

I think that they usually sell out. I live in Lexington and we go every year. I still remember that sad sad day last year at the KY Derby with you know, Barbaro. In Memory of Barbaro!!!
