I spent some time in Jordan recently and everyone I spoke to had a name which meant something, I love the idea of choosing a name for its' meaning rather than whether it sounds good!

My middle name is Rae, after my father's best friend, Raymond.

My name's VIOLETTA, which means 'a little violet' in Italian. So it belongs to a large group of names derived from the names of flowers (Rose, Violet, Iris and Lily just to name a few).
I love flowers, so I don't mind the name. Besides, it's quite a rare one and I like feeling unique. ;)

I was called Sophie which apparently means wisdom, because my mum wanted me to be wise enough not to have an affair with a married man like she did. ^_^
