because you can't see whats inside someone till you get to know them, so most people go by first appearances, but I have found that when you take the time to get to know someone outside your own click, you find most people are the same inside, we mostly all want the same things out of life, so that is why I try not to judge a book by it's cover, for I have been judged many times by my appearance and not my demeanor, I have a lot of tattoos on me, so a lot of people except me to be some dumb thug or a biker type, and are often shocked to find out that Monday through Friday I'm a corporate accountant in a suit and tie. I think It is just human nature to stick to your own, its whats easy and safe, but try not to let it get to you, there are some people the don't judge on appearance but by whats inside a person!!

because people are dumbasses. And probley because you see the outside of a person before you get to know the inside. We all judge people by there looks and the clothes they wear, even if we don't want to admit it. The first impression thing is more true then it should be. Closed minded people don't want to believe that someone who looks a certain way could be a good person. instead they judge by whats on the outside because it's easier then getting to know whats on the inside.

sure physical attraction is part of what starts a relationship, but personality is sooo much more important. I'm one of the "weirdos" who isn't really attracted to the typical "hottie." I like guys who look more 'normal' per say. but even if his looks aren't stellar his personality will make up for it. whether or not he is a good person and how he treats people in combo with his personality would win me over way more than good looks.

Because even though it's not the most important element of a relationship, physical attraction is still important. In most cases, you'll have to be attracted to what's on the outside before you feel the need to discover what's on the inside.

Our instinct tells us that if someone looks good then he is healthy. This is how our minds work. However if one is too physical, then he's a superficial person and possibilities are he's not interesting.
