No. You are correct in that it exploits women, it exploits everyone it touches and is corrosive to a relationship.
But i want it right where I can see it and monitor it and keep it in line.
Driving it underground produces more problems than you could realize

Pornography is a multibillion business. As with every business, some people can get exploited. But majority of females in the porn industry knows what they are getting into & have chosen 2 do so. You cannot say that a woman is exploited when the woman make a personal decision to do pornography & become a millionaire in 5 years and retire, rather than work in some low paying job for 40 years & then have 2 rely on social security.
It is their choice & what may seem 2 be exploitation to you, may be just a shrewd business decision on another female's part that may be looking at life from a different perspective than yours. Besides, I know strippers that actually look down their noses at women who have day jobs because the money they make in one night, lots of women with 'acceptable' jobs cannot make in a month.
You'd get lynched from these same women if u approach them suggesting that porn be banned.

A target rally would be the method. The question layout borderlines being categorized incorrectly since the participation of Christianity is only within the subtitling. Answered: Probably the only effective way would be to lobby for a blanket bill that would effect the entire porn industry. In foresight, I could safely say that as much funds that the porn industry is fed worldwide and in America, that is a task that may prove to be most difficult and certainly would have phenomenal costs regardless of the outcome.

You say, "I think it should be. It does no good to the society and I feel it exploits women. Western oppression?"
Well so does the bible.

No, it should not be banned. We have freedom of speech and expression. That includes the speech and expression of people that you don't agree with. Also, it does not exploit women. The women choose to be in the porn. It would be taking away their rights if it was banned. Also, to the people who are just going to quote the bible as an arguement: NOT EVERYBODY IS A CHRISTIAN!!!! Gotta love separation of church and state!

Not unless you want the divorce rate to go up. No one who gets into porn these days professionally is a victim. It is pretty well understood what the industry is like. They are not forced into this career a gunpoint they choose it. If it allows some to live the type of life they want why should it be banned? As long as they are a consenting adult they should be allowed to do what they choose.

There is nothing wrong with pornography so long as it does not exploit children or anyone against their will. If one does not like it they have the option of not buying it.
And as for it exploiting women, are you going to get rid of prostitution too? They don't call that the world's oldest profession for nothing.

No, provided minors are not involved.
While even I acknowledge that some of it is really disgusting, there's obviously a market for it. You may feel you're helping women by trying and get it banned, but I doubt the women who make a paycheck from pornography would be thanking you exactly.

Sure, ban porn because it expoloits women.
While you're at it ban burgers because the burger joints exploit women in low paying degrading dead end jobs with no benefits.
Ban coffee because coffee growers exploit Juan Valdez.
Ban bibles because people exploit trees to make the paper bibles are printed on.
Ban Yahoo because Yahoo runs on computers which run on electricity which is generated with oil which exploits Saudi Arabia.
Ban jobs because people with prople with jobs exploit their employers for paychecks.

I think that pornography does not need to be banned but it should definitely be restricted from the young ages. And the women (and men) within the pornography must be in it by their own will. As long as these people joined themselves and pornography is not seen by youth, then it is fine. It is just another form of entertainment isn't it? If you don't want to see it ou don't have to.

Not western oppression - demonic oppression. It should be banned because it destroys so many things in both men and women, like dignity, self-confidence, self-worth, self-respect. It is a terrible evil that needs to go away. We pray to God for this to happen.
