I am sorry you are an orphan. (I assume this, since you don't know anyone who is Jewish, and you must have gotten that way because your parents were Jewish, so presumably they have passed.)

You should look around next time you are in temple. Just a guess, but I suspect a majority of those folks are Jewish, too!

I had a Jewish grandpa, but I don't practice the religion. He didn't either, not over here. Him and his 7 brothers and sister's came over here on a boat from Odessa Russia when he was a teenager. No one knew they were Jewish until his sister told everybody when she was in a nursing home. My mother and her brother grew up thinking they were German. It took my mom by surprise. I don't see the big deal, people are people.
