I colored my hair auburn, which is like a red-light brown sort of color. If I want my natural color of my hair grow back do I have to just wait until it fades out by itself or what?

If you used a permanent color, you are going to have to just wait it out until the dye grows out. If you used a semi-permanent color, you can wash it (use a conditioner as frequent washing can dry out your hair) every day.... it usually takes about 6-8 weeks for semi-permanent dye to wash out... but you can speed up the process somewhat by washing every day.

If you don't want to wait, go to your stylist and see if she can re-color your hair to your natural color.... then, as it is growing out, it will look more natural as the days go by.

It depends what your natural colour is. If your hair is a medium brown, wait until the red starts fading, red actually being the easiest colour to fade, which will probably be when your roots start growing in (6-8 weeks) and just dye your hair with a neutral brown and that means that the contrast between your natural hair colour and the dyed hair will eventually get closer together as the red comes outcompletely, After a while you wont have to dye your hair anymore and it will be more or less your natural colour. Or else you could get it done professionally which will set you back more than $100

I color my hair and while looking for my color I found a product that is used to turn your hair back to your original color even if the color was permanant. I saw it in Wal Mart so it is sold in Wal Mart which almost every city has a Wal Mart
