Need my W-2?

i havnt gotten my w-2 yet from Applebees where i used to work. what number do i need to call to get one?

by Jan 31st you have not received your W2, call the employer and ask them if they have been sent. If by Feb 15th you have not received it, call the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040 and file a W2 complaint. They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them

Nobody, just yet.

Employers had until Jan 31 to give you your W2 or place it in the mail. If it was mailed on Jan 31 (many were) it will take a few days to get it to you, especially if you live a long way from their corporate offices.

If you haven't received it about a week after Jan 31, your first point of contact is the employer. They may have been granted an extension of time to get them out if they had good reason. In that case, you'll just have to wait.

If you haven't received it by 2/15 and the employer hasn't been given an extension and is not cooperating with you you can call the IRS. They won't take calls on missing W2s or 1099s until that date.
