Bible characters are not fictional...stupid question.

Most biblical characters, even if they did exist, were embellished to the point where they became mythical characters like Paul Bunyan. Even if for the sake of argument they did exist and the biblical accounts were accurate, many of the "heroes" of the bible were as corrupt as Caligula. David ordered a dear friend murdered so he could get to his wife, kills every man, woman, and child in some villages, acts impulsively etc yet this is a man "favored by god" - Lot offers his daughters to be gang raped, then leaving town (poor guy, his wife is turned into a pillar of salt for the minor offense of glancing back at the pyrotechnics of their town getting fried) the guy has a drinking problem and has sex with his two daughters. This dysfunctional family was the only moral family in that whole town. See my point?

If the bible was the word of god, the big guy would have mentioned the big bang, continental drift, the true age of the earth, the role of dark matter and the mystery of where I lost my palm pilot in 2003. Since the bible is replete with factual errors and errors of omission, historical inaccuracies etc. it could not be the word of god. IF god is a being that can read the minds of billions on earth simultaneously and elsewhere in other galaxies where sentient life exists, certainly "he" would get the facts right. Therefore to answer the op, the characters can die to the extent they existed, if at all like anyone or anything else, without the dogmatic hoopla.

Um, even if you don't believe the Bible, history shows that most of the people in it actually lived. I'm talking about David, etc. I believe all existed because I believe the Bible is truth. But, historians give evidence of the existance of your "fictional characters".

I wonder why you ask this question. 5 points not well spent, I think!

YOUR SOUL IS YOU

Souls created, souls born, souls resurrected to salvation.

Gen.2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Spirit of God is life of soul, spirit belongs to God, all else can be dust to dust.
Isa.42:5; Num.16:22; Eccl.3:19-21; 12:7; Psm.7:2; 104:29,30 Eze. 37:12,14; James 2:26;

Good Question! ... hum ... I think if f.e. Bart Simpson would die on TV everyone would say he's dead and not 'the producers were sick of him...!'

The character began to live in your thoughts and in your thoughts it only can die!
