I am a Christian because that is the only way to a have redeemed meaningful life. Everyone on Earth has the desire for something more than what the Earth has to offer. God fits perfectly in that hole. He has saved my life and given me purpose. Now I has a friend when it seems like someone is here to help me. I hope that atheists and such would understand that the life your in now is temporarily and you need to stand preparing your place in Heaven by accepting Jesus into your heart. Otherwise after your death you'll a permanent resident of Hell. Even the people in Hell believe in Jesus. Are you (not you personally but anyone in general) going to choose to believe now and be rewarded with everlasting life in Heaven or wait until your sentenced to Hell for eternity after you die?
God Bless!!!

Because I beleive that God created everything around me and sent his one and only son down to Earth and he was killed on the cross for our sins! I know that God loves me and I love God! He is my father and I love to worship him for everything that he has done. He has preformed miracles for me! Not only am I alive
( which is hardly beleivable considering that I choked for three minutes when I was two, nearly drowned in the ocean when I was three, cracked my head open when I was four, fell off of a swing when I was six and landed so hard on my back that I stopped breathing for five whole minutes, and nearly started a fire at my house while cooking when I was nine. But thanks to the miracle of God I am still alive and well!) but I also have a loving family, a great house, fantastic friends, and a wonderful school! Not to mention all of the beautiful things that are in nature. Who else could provide that besides God? That is why I am a Christian! :O)

I was raised in a loving, tolerant, God-believing house hold. I do not like the term Christian though. I believe that the followers of Christ have dirtied the name. They are not loving, tolerant, kind, or forgiving. They are some of the most judgmental, harsh, intolerant, and bigoted people on this earth. I am a follower of God because 1) of the environment that I was raised in and 2) I stayed a follower of God because of the things I have seen his plan unfold in my life.

Most people are Christians because they are self serving and Christianity is a self serving religion. People are told all they have to do is believe this and they will be saved from damnation. All they see is their own self serving reward, they don't care about the who, why or where. That is why so many Christians are Bible illiterate and so many atheists have read the Bible and rejected it.
