If I already have a stereo system with mono amp; two 10" sub and excellent quality speakers, total of 4, plan on getting 2 more later. Do I need any of these so mentioned caps??
And what is the best cap by ??? company???

I personally have two 5 Farad digital caps in my Tahoe. one on each 1500watt digital amp( each amp pushing one sub). but to know what size cap you will need we need to know what type of power you have. usually you use 1 farad per 1000watts. so a cap would be a good idea if you want to keep your battery. but depending on your wattage you shouldn't need anything more than 2.4 farad unless you have serious power or you are in competition

a 5 farad cap is huge. for the kind of system set up ur running id honestly say u dont need a cap (assuming the battery in ur car isnt crap). If your gonna get one at all tho u should be good with at least a 1.5 farad cap.

a capacitor stores a small amount of energy.they are not required.but recommended on a big stereo system.a cap keeps your system from directly draining the battery(causing lights to dim when the system hits).a fared is = to 1000w.so a 5f would be sufficient for a 40000-6000w amp.lightning audio is a good cap.good luck...

i know 5 farad is electronic measurement it is 1/5000th of an ohm
i dont know what is meant by cap thx ////good luck
