The correct level is 20.9% ,the first alarm point up is 21.5 . The critical level above that is 23.5 % at this point everything will burn like gasoline is on it. The astronauts that burned up was in an atmosphere of 100% oxygen but at 3 psi. Very dangerous . The lower end is 19.5 % ,just below this and u pass out .

You are getting some bogus answers, Kevin. Just 150 years ago the oxygen level in the atmosphere--yes, for the whole planet Earth-- was 33%.
A person can breath 100% oxygen for up to 10 hours without permanent damage. Hospitals routinely use 50% oxygen on some patients.
On the low end, we die at less than 8% oxygen.

It's known from experimentations that at 23% of oxygen plants start catching fire.
Current oxygen in the atmosphere is 21%

BTW you can breathe pure oxygen.
Plants can survive very well even with 1% of Oxygen in atmosphere (a little is necessary even for plants)

You cannot survive if the atmosphere has less than 19% of oxygen.
