ive been suspecting that i may have a mental disorder which may explain either my depression, my violent outburts, or both. both things run in opposite sides of my family but also for opposite genders. i tihnk i may have a genetic disorder and intermittant explosive disorder seems to fit my situation in everyway shape and form. ive never seen a disorder so perfectly match me and im scared. what should i do. (ps my violent outburts are greater than normal for my age)

although i understand your point answer three, i know that thisis not the case as ive expected soemthing of this nature for years and have only just read the article a few minutes ago

You need to get seen by a psychiatrist....It COULD be the disorder your talking about, or it could be that you read about the disorder and are molding your behavior to it.

before you diagnose yourself, before you consult a psychiatrist, go see a neurologist, get a full neurological work-up and get a discriminating diagnosis form the neurologist. this way, you will have the judgment of an expert upon which to base your decisions and actions.

You can stop these outbursts as they arise by taking a few conscious breaths, it is a choice.
