hmmm - it's called being ignorant and closed minded to those individuals that are different from themselves. It's kinda sad and funny how some individuals on YA can get that worked up in their answers in re: to expressing a dislike for a tattoo. They know nothing about the person - all they know is that they have a tattoo...It makes me wonder what the people are like in real life...are they using YA as kind of like an alter ego? It's a safe environment and you can say whatever you want because no one knows who you are. Do they use this thing to say mean or rude things because they aren't the type of person that could say something like that in real life because they are worried or scared of repercussions of saying something that harsh, rude or just mean?

From my personal view, neither matters really. I respect individuals that choose to have tattoos and those that don't. A tattoo doesn't make a person or their personality. That's a personal choice that they made for themselves. If they decided to ink themselves...yay for them...if they decided not to ink themselves...yay for them.

There have been some pretty mean answers to individuals that are genuinely asking a question. Do people that give the "ewww - don't get a tattoo, they're gross or skanky" answers just hang out in the tattoo area? Always kind of wondered that.

Because these days so many people have some amazing sense of self-importance. I seriously believe it's the younger ones who think they can go around judging and being disrespectful, especially some of the answers they leave. They're openly displaying their ignorance, usually in a very ironic context. They say "tattoos suck" and they really truly think we are going to give a **** what they say, when we actually laugh at them because we pity them.

Meh, I've never disliked people with tattoos. I've always thought that they were pretty cool, but I could never get a tattoo myself. I change my mind too much about things.

My DAD dislikes many people with tattoos, and he's just one of those people label people based on stereotypical things. He's always labeled those people as "bad people". I honestly think that it's stupid to do that.

No one's better than anyone. Tattooed people are just like people that don't have tattoos, except for the fact that they decided to get tattoos on their bodies. =/

Well, lets face it, people never wanna see eye to eye about anything these days. If your different than them then your wrong! blah blah blah, blee blee blee.
Its a persons personal choice to get one or not! I think the reason people come down on tattoos so hard is because once its there it don't come off, buts thats the reason why you should take your time and get a tattoo that really is origonal and creative and says something to you! It took me 3 years to settle on one of my tats but I will never be unhappy with it.
personal meaning tats are awsome in my opinion but trendy tattoos are something else...... nuff said. :]

Just b/c someone has a tattoo doesn't make them any less valuable than those that don't have tattoos. I believe you can go too far with tattoos when there's no blank skin left to see, but hey, it's everyone's personal choice and no one else's business, right?

Really? Because I like tats I want to get a chinese symbol for harmony on my back when I graduate from Massage School to symbolize my finishing it and starting a new life that is balanced since I will be doing something I'm passionate about. Don't worry about those people just ignore them....They are just being narrow minded.

Tattooes are nice on people who like them.... i think making that kind of decision is really permanent like having kids, they never go away!!! lol.... but if you like that kind of thing, more power to you... as for those who don't like them: **** off, it's not your body that you're decorating, so leave them alone and stop being mean.

ps: i'm against tattooes of girlfriends/boyfriends names.... what happens if you breakup???? I wouldn't want to be like Tommy and Pam, lol.

Because of these attitudes, I often find myself trusting tattooed people more than non-tattooed...odd! =0)

I don't personally find tattoos to be attractive, and I wouldn't get one myself, but I don't care if other people do. That's their prerogative, and if it makes them happy I'm happy for them. Why should it make a difference?

because some people think that its wrong and its weird people are afraid of whats different so just ignore them
