I'm 13 years old. I have a very high metabolism causing me to be hungry almost all the time, which means I eat a meal sized supplement about every hour or two I'm awake. Usually, I'm still hungry after a meal because and average amount of servings doesn't satisfy my hunger. You're probably thinking I am very over-weight, but my body fat percentage is only 20%. I don't do any exersize other than a 43 minute gym class, which isn't too athletic. I'm assuming that my body just burns a lot of calories. I've been told that as a move into adulthood my metabolism will decrease gradually, causing me to gain weight from all the food I eat.

My question to you all is, is it possible for my metabolism to stay this way as long as I'm an adult?

NO, and yes.
When you turn around 18-21, that is the BEGINNING of the gradual slowing down of your metabolism.

I had, have again, a high metabolism.

By age 35, your metabolism has slowed down enough where you start really putting on the pounds, are tired all the time.

Then for the rest of your life, your metabolism slows down so much, you are a physical wreck.

The only way, as an adult, to keep your metabolism UP all the time, is to do daily aerobics, daily stretching, and weightlifting every other day. Your metabolism will be almost as high as when you were very young.

The choice is yours. High, or low metabolism.

The reason your metabolism slows down as you age is because you lose muscle. So weight training will help you keep your metabolism high.

Could be, but more than likely you need to change the type of calories that you are taking in.
