It depends on the owner, breed, and dog itself.

You wouldn't walk an English Bulldog as many times or as far as you would an English Springer Spaneil. You don't necessarily have to walk a dog. Other forms of exercise can work in a walks place when needed, such as hunting or agility or an hour or two of fetch. Dogs should be exercised at least once a day, the age they start is up to you. Some people say start immeadetly, others like myself say wait until atleast six months, some say after their first birthday.

This all depends on how old the puppy is. 15 minutes a day when really young. Once about a 1/2 year old go to 30 minutes a day. One your dog gets to 1 1/2 to 2 years go 1 hr a day. Then once totally full grown and 3 years old, go longer. You can also, go more then once a day, but you have to split the time in have. LIke a 2 year old 1 hr a day like i said, but instead do 2 30 minute walks a day. get it? good luck! Also, look it up on a pet site, they will tell you with a breed, because it can also depend on the breed of dog.

Dogs should be walked (I'm talking about for exercise...not potty time) at least 45 minutes to an hour per day. I highly recommend walking your animal after your dinner that way both of you gets exercise.

I know that people lead busy lives so consider hiring a local youth to walk your dog for you when you are busy. I offer the little girl down the street 2 dollars each time I need her to walk my dogs so it's fairly cost effective.

Also consider dog parks if you don't want to do all that walking...Another great option!

P.S. Don't ever force your dog to walk or exercise. Elderly or sick dogs aren't nearly as active as healthy dogs and overexercise can actually hurt a dog in a weakened state.

Your dog should be walked for exercise at least twice a day. If you're walking to give your dog time to potty, it should be approximately an hour for each month of the puppies age until they are approximately 8 months old. ( 3 hours for a 3 month old...5 hours for a 5 month old...etc) By 8 months, dogs are usually able to "hold it" for up to 8 hours or longer.

Also, keep in mind the size of your pet. The smaller the dog, the smaller the bladder...so the more often they need to go.

A minimum of twice per day for simple bodily functions... but that's really not healthy. For dogs to live healthy lives, they need more exercise. Walking them 4 to 5 times a day is a definate plus... Letting them jog with you is better.

Going on a walk is more important than just going potty. Without adequate exercise, dogs and suffer both physically and emotionally.

Depends on the dog (and the owner!! :))
No less than twice a day, but if it's a big dog then a lot more, as they get bored more easily.

It ultimately depends on what breed it is. A Doberman Pinscher or a border collie needs to be walked longer and more often than a pug (just an example...)

i think at least 2..one in the morning..one in the evening. Dogs need their exercise daily depending on what type of dog they are.
