Really pink or bright red lipstick.....blue mascara or eyeshadow.
Ripped clothing...slouch socks, legwarmers, pumps, jelly bracelets. Side ponytail, crimped or teased hair and bangs..

Ooo, ooo, I know this one! I lived it the entire 80's.
Actually there were a couple of contrasting things that were "in" at the time...one of them was impossibly preppy. You know, long walking shorts (something pastel) with a cable knit fitted sweater (long sleeved) and a turtle neck with some stupid print like maybe whales or strawberries on it. Boat shoes with turned down socks (both perfectly white) Natural make up except the cheek and straight bobbed hair with poofy bangs. YUCK1

HERE IS WHAT I LOVED!

I thought I was Madonna when I was 14, so this is maybe more work for a party, but way more fun.

Curl all of you hair with the smallest curling iron you can find (if your hair is long...I will get to short in a minute) then back comb it until it is ridiculously big, the bangs need to be the tallest part. Then take a blow dryer with one hand and blow the sides of your hair just above your ears straight up and with the other hand spray the sides with strong hold hair spray. If your hair is short, curl the heck out of the bangs, make them big and then slick the sides back.
Make up. So bad. Use heavy eye make up in colors like purple and pink all the way up to your brow bone. Comb your brows up and gel them that way (yep, we did that). Then make your blush either be an aweful orange or a very bright pink and make an unblended triangle (base at the hair line and point ending just under your cheek bone) you really should be able to see it is a triangle. Lips, bright pink or bright orange. Something shouldn't match...so if you are wearing pink eyes and pink cheeks, wear orange lips etc. Make sure your base doesn't match your neck, it should be lighter.
Clothing is easy. Wear a tank top under a huge sweatshirt that you have cut the neck out of into a boat neck line. Cut off the cuff of the sleeve and roll up a bit. Tight skirt with leggings underneath and very high heels (see if you can find some fish net trouser socks for an open toed pump)

Have a riot! Hope you can use something from this!

Crimped hair. Red or bright pink limpstick. Leggings. Flashdance inspired shirt. Boy George makeup. Leg warmers. Google the eighties and I know there are a few websites out there that tribute to the '80's. I lived it. I was in my teens. It was great. It shouldn't be too hard to find music. Good luck and have fun!

Do a search on the big singers of the 80's. I can recall Debbie Gibson, and Tiffany. That may give you some ideas of what look was in.
