I don't understand relationships?

I don't know what is going on. I don't know if it's me or if it's him. I've been dating this guy for a year next month. He had a job, but is now unemployed because of winter (outside work) he really isn't looking,he doesn't have a car. When ever i want to see him or do something, I have to go get him or get up there. I'm getting ready to lose my grandparents, and I really need him around but he rather go watch the super bowl. I even offered to take us and our friends out. I've caught other girls pictures on his phone, ( he says it was for his friend that didn't have interenet on the phone, wtf). He never calls me anymore because he says that we don't have to talk all the time and I know that but he is my boyfriend and I would like to talk to him. i don't know anybody plz help me figure something out.... it's driving me crazy, I don't want to break up with him, but it's like he always gets his way, and he is the only one that gets to be happy. I'm sorry this is a mess...plz some insight

Sounds like you are helping to enable his selfish lifestyle. A relationship is a two way street, not a dead end. He has to pull his weight or you will be very unhappy. I would suggest a cooling off period, then you can explain your feelings and desires so that he will know what you are expecting from him in return. If he is unwilling or unable to put forth the effort then you should kick him to the curb. Believe it or not there are actually many nice well adjusted guys out there that have their heads screwed on properly. Don't settle.
