Taxes cover the same things for immigrants as they do for citizens, for the most part. However, as a legal immigrant I do have some experience with one small part of government expenditure that is not paid for by the taxpayer. That is the cost of administering the legal immigration process. Congress requires that immigration fees be revised regularly to ensure that the fee covers the cost of providing the service - no more and no less. To my mind, that is right and proper. Perhaps it is time that the cost of immigration enforcement fell upon those illegal immigrants who take up those resources required to enforce our laws.

I would love somebody to explain to me why the above idea is not fair.

In actuallity, virtually everything our tax dollars provide per se, are used/abused by the illegals. Roads, health care emergency types, education coming and going, welfare on several levels.
All of the systems within our system are negatively effected such as insurance for crime/theft, vehicle related losses.

Our tax dollars pay for making multi lingual info available for government biz. Making signs in other languages. There really is nothing that is not negatively effected by illegals coming and living in the USA.

In fairness, some small amount of tax dollars are paid by those who steal ID's and pay income tax into the system. However, it is a standard understanding that the majority of people who are here as LEGAL immigrants will take 3-10 years before they come to a position in society that has them breaking even or causing a constructive benefit to society financially thorugh their tax paying.

Well, education costs $10,000 per child per year in California, per a Stanford study, and that money is not just being paid from our pockets, it is education funding (and school space and teacher attention) being denied our children. Mind you, that is an issue only when we are discussing the millions of children of illegal immigrants who do NOT belong her. The legal immigrants have a right to it.

I assume you mean ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS - unfortunately almost everything. LEGAL immigrants, I don't know.

There is no such thing as an Illegal immigrant because if you are immigrating, you are following the rules and the laws of this country.

That's a very broad question--I'm sure your had something specific in mind. But just to name a few--roads, schools, government employee wages, any big pork projects legislators can get passed the legislature. If you would amend your post and mention the benefit you are most interested in, everyone will be happy to tell you if immigrants are entitled to that specific benefit.

"Immigrants" pay their own taxes, because they're LEGAL citizens of this country just like someone who is born here. On the other hand, "illegal aliens" pay no taxes.. it's YOUR taxes that are covering them. Don't let them kid you when they say they pay taxes.. horse $hit .. how are they paying taxes when they're using an American's ID?
