ok, so i took this picture to the hairdressers and they cut my hair and it looks really good
http://www.beautyriot.com/article.php?id=3311&c_id=63
it looks really good when ive just straightned it but just a little while after it looks wierd with the hair sticking out in odd directions because of the layers. does anyone have any tips to keep my hair looking nice through the day?
(other that hairspray because ive already tried it and all that does is make it look stiff when the layers are still sticking out)

Use straightening cream before you start to straighten it. I have the same problem, and this works for me. Sunsilk do one, I've attached a link for you. I think they sell it in Boots or Superdrug.

It's a bummer having a curl in your hair when you want it straight!!!

PS Love the style! Looks excellent!

pomade.
dab your finger in and get out a little less than a drop of water (or a pea) ; emulsify in your hands by rubbing them together fast. dab your hands all over your head and finger comb. rub hands together again and make sure you have some on your finger tips. pull out into a point the hairs that you want piecey (in pieces).

Try Garnier fructis surf hair in a little tub. It can shape the hair and/or keep it in place. I use it and it saves my life.
