No reputable breeder mixes breeds, when there are so many already needing homes at shelters & rescues.

Breed rescues often take in mixes that are predominately of their breed - I suggest going to www.akc.org & checking out your closest local Beagle & Chihuahua rescue groups - you can find a new friend & give a deserving dog a 2nd chance at life!

It is the backyard breeders and the puppy mills that are ruining the breeds. The AKC is offering more working titles all the time so that the QUALITY breeders can show off their dogs' abilities. Sporting breeds, terriers and herding breeds can now get certified as being not just pretty to look at. There will be more to come in the future. Why not join in and help start the kind of trials you'd like to see for French Mastiffs and Caucasian Ovcharkas?

A hybrid is something that comes from 2 different species..not 2 different breeds of the same species. A reputable breeder would not breed 2 different breeds.

Why would you pay for a mongrel dog? There are no "reputable " breeders of hybrids. Consider a shelter dog, make up a cutsie name for what kind of dog it is, and be happy that you saved a life.

There are NO reputable breeders that breed mixes. Delibrate breeding of mixes is very irresponsible.
