You need to read her life story. Here is the excerpt that contains the quote :
I left the well-house eager to learn. Everything had a name, and each name gave birth to a new thought. As we returned to the house every object which I touched seemed to quiver with life. That was because I saw everything with the strange, new sight that had come to me. On entering the door I remembered the doll I had broken. I felt my way to the hearth and picked up the pieces. I tried vainly to put them together. Then my eyes filled with tears; for I realized what I had done, and for the first time I felt repentance and sorrow.
She was finally realizing that her actions, whether right or wrong, had consequences and that the beautiful doll had been a present and she was feeling remorse over breaking it.

Are you a mute student just beginning to speak or learn to use language? (serious question.) Because if you are, perhaps this assignment on Helen Keller has been given to you so that you can understand the difference that it makes, to be able to speak and use language.
I ask this because I know of autistic people who learn to speak much later in life than most people. They can communicate by computer just fine, but they have trouble with meanings of new words and phrases and they are mute. If you are like this, your teacher has given you a very good lesson, to learn about Helen Keller. So dig in and understand it. Asking us to do your work for you won't help you, you must learn to do it for yourself. And, like Helen Keller, you will find that language opens up a whole new world to you.
