Haven't you heard about the tremendous rise in asthma cases, that every hour another species of plant or animal becomes extinct, that almost every fresh water source is either being polluted at an alarming rate or is in some sort of water use controversy... I think is is obvious to many that major environmental problems are occuring right now! The people who can't see it are blinded by $$$$$

A million years???? HAHAHA that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard!! ok, here let me sum up some things for you...
in the st lawrence river, belugas who have been there for 10 000 years are now dieing. there're only 400 left, cos of the amount of pollution in the river, that gets into their bodies so that they must be treated as toxic waste under canadian law. (during WW2, pilots used them as target practice).
because of human activity, 40 % of the world's at risk of becoming a desert. 5-12 million hectares of land are lost this way each year.
60% of the world's 600 000 sq km of coral reefs will be lost in 40 years
In 50 yrs the aral sea has shrunk by 60%, causing fish to die and issues w water shortage. by 2010, it will be desert.
because we release so much CFCs into the air, ozone depletion has led to increase in cancer, and skin tumors, cos the UV B rays of the sun are no longer blocked enough.
global warming: more then a million species will be driven to extinction by 2050, the arctic ocean will be ice free by 2050, sea levels will rise by 20 feet, and you'll see an increase in diseases cos there won't be the cold to combat it; also extreme weather as we're seeing now....
sooo yeah there's A LOT more..............too much

Don't tell me, let me guess--you are actually a munchkin. Or maybe an Oompa-loompa. Implying what you just have is irresponsible.
I have environmental problems right in my own neighborhood, and I bet if you quit humping your pc and poked your head out of your mother's basement, you would see some in yours, too. Wake up, and smell the pollution. Have a nice, yellow-skyed day.
