to stay at home and raise your kids? I know that it depends on where you live. I know that I have things that I can do to cut costs. But if you do stay at home, how much money can you do it on? Don't reply if feel it's too personal. We have always lived well within our means, but I would like to quit to raise my son. I don't know if we can make it or not.

you need to sit down and add all your expensive together for every month,But all the Bills together.add grocery's,gas and Diapers in there.Add a co pay for Health inc somone will be sick. Then Look at your Husbands monthly income and subtract all your Bills.then see how much you have left then go from there.I stayed home with my kids till my last one was in Kindergarten we did fine,I had a Budget for grocery's .I Like shopping at the 2nd hand stores for cloths for my self and they have 2nd hand shops for kids also.It is well worth satying home,I loved it .Just learn how to budget and you 2 3 will be fine.

Well you have to look at everything. Does your husbands job offer medical? If so, your son should be ok there, but what about copays? Figure on him occasionally needing to see a Dr. wether just for routine immunizations or if he should get sick. Then you have diapers, food, clothing...depending on age he may need new clothing every few months. You can cut corners by shopping for used items. You need to make sure your husbands job covers all household expenses, gas money, copays for DR visits, clothing, diapers, ect.....I am lucky with my husbands job i am able to stay home with our children, but we do not live "the good life" we make it ok...but no much left over for "fun". It is worth it though, if you want to stay home with your child. The benefits are great. You get to see every first, never miss a thing. Good luck to you!

well I stay at home and watch the kids while my husband goes to work and were doing okay I tried to go back to work but it gave us more trouble cause before I went in I had to drop the kids off at my moms then drive across town from where she lived to go to work and I quit after a month cause it was more difficult then when I stayed at home.
