God does not answer every prayer. He answers those who do not pray on things that are of no real meaningful value. In other words, you cant ask God for wealth, a new car, a big screen TV.
Other prayers God will not answer are those that will not benefit you even though you think it will. One small example would be praying that a certain girl will be my wife - or a woman praying a certain man will be her husband. God may or may not answer that prayer depending on how that paired relationship will fare. Often such people ignore God and go after marriage to certain people because they are carried away with their own lusts and thinks God ordained it - and nothing can be further from the truth as evidenced when they divorce a few months down the road.
God is not a vending machine, nor can we take him for granted.

It is a good question. If you assume that God is omnipresent , then you can ask him from where ever you are. The next question is in which language? If God is above all those, then language is not a problem. Then what to ask? If you are asking for money, food, cloth, none of them is created by God. It is man's creation. So Why ask God?
Sankaracharya, The great Indian Saint, promulgated a philosophy called " Advaida" ; which literally mean that there aren't two. God and His creations are one. There exists a unity. Once you understand that and ask sincerely, you will get what ever you want. [ not material pleasures] Human mind is the most powerful energy in the world. Once you understand that you can do anything that you want. But you must learn to focus and make it strong. Learn the eastern philosophy you will get enlightened.

If Dawkins existed, he might write an intelligent book. But there is no evidence to support such a conclusion.
Funny how scientists think they can definitively say that something doesn't exist. It's a big universe out there... has he searched in every place? Is he capable of knowing everything about our existence? If so... he'd be really smart.
However, to answer the question, God does answer our prayers, even before we ask. Sometimes it is "no", sometimes it is "I am here, do not be afraid." And no, God does not submit to parlor tricks... to ask him to make it rain a certain amount on a certain day in order to prove he exists is contradictory. If you didn't believe he exists, who would you be talking to? If you do believe he exists, why would you make him proe his existence? However, if you sometimes doubt he exists, this isn't the same as saying he doesn't exist, in which case one might ask "God, if you are there, help me to know you?" leaving God the freedom to show himself in whatever way he wills.

God is going to give you what He thinks is best for you...and when he thinks you can handle it. For example, He is not going to bless a drug addict with a large amount of money necessarily, because chances are they would go out and buy drugs with it. If you let God know that there is something that you want and you have a relationship with Him (He is not the "Great Supermarket in the Sky"), He will answer you. Sometimes the answer is no...often what you ask for is not what you need and He has a better plan for you. This has happened often to me with jobs i have wanted. Sometimes He says yes and you are granted your request. Sometimes He says wait...you are not ready for that right now or I have something better planned for you. i think the answer i have gotten most often is wait. Don't get discouraged! God in His infinite wisdom knows exactly what each and every one of us needs and exactly when we need it. And often it is SO not what we were expecting!! ;) Best wishes!

He answers every single thing that we ask of Him. You just need to remember that it may not always be the way we wanted. The answer is always there in some way, though sometimes it does take time. Whether he tells you flat out, leads a new way or gives you signs, He always answers. It's a promise He gives us in the Bible, and he never breaks a promise.

God (I call it the Universe) does only what is the best for you in order to be a better person (even if it seems like a bad thing it always has a good side) BUT you have to be absolutly a right person if you want it to be smooth. I mean - no any sins/ bad temptations - you have to recognize them, control them and eventually get rid of them. Sometimes we want something very badly and dont get it - its because its better to us this way. And about the answers - they are: people around you, things you notice (and dont notice), info and of course your intuition. Try to be a right person and act - and you will see what will happen.

when we request things from God they usually come from a selfish place of something we want, instead of asking for the things we need and the things we can use to further share the truth through those request. when someone is sick and they ask for healing, do they do so for the sake of feeling better for themselves of so they can go and share the miracle of God and his wondrous healing! the other point might be that he does answer the prayers but not in the way you expected them to be answered, he knows better what, when ,where and why to take care of requests then we do. we expect now and exactly the way we think it should go but if he is to use us he has to answer them in the best Godly time and way, sometimes beyond our own understanding

God can't answer everything. There are millions of people in the world who ask for His advice daily. Personally... I think its normal for people to talk to God. I think its great if He answers back. But when people claim they have dialogues with God then I start to worry.
God gives signs. The signs aren't clear, but He gives signs to everyone. Only the believers see them.

God answers all. However, sometimes the answer is no. Many of times you won't get what you ask for but you will get what you need. And sometimes he answers and we really don't have the ability to understand it.

Yes. It is sometimes hard to
see how the answer has been
given. For God can tell your
soul and bypass a flesh and
blood brain.
