try adding some Pumpkin Pie Filling- comes in cans and isn't spiced- to his dog food and see if that helps. You didn't mention what you feed him or what he has been treated for. Pumpkin Pie Filling is a natural way to help the symptom but to eliminate the problem you have to know what is causing the looser stool. Has he been checked for worms/parasites? Giardia is a common cause of upset stomach and diarrhea that doesn't clear up. Diet can cause a softer stool or diarrhea if his food is not something he tolerates well. Find the cause.
GL with your dog.

You can give dogs Pepto Bismol, but they strongly dislike the taste. The best thing to try is using canned pumpkin (NOT the type for pies, just plain pumpkin). Most dogs will eat it readily, or you can mix it in with a bit of low fat browned ground hamburger meat. You can also give your dog some low fat plain yogurt, which will help to maintain good bacteria flora in the gut.
If your dog shows signs of not wanting to eat, drink, or becomes lethargic you should immediately contact your veterinarian. Good luck!

You don't need medicine for the dog. Call the vet, it should go away but you have to ask 60.000 people about your dogs ca-ca texture, so go ahead. I care for animals and children, not particularly this silly question of yours...

He doesn't need any. If he's only had a stomach upset for a short while, you can feed plain white rice, canned plain (not sweetened!!!) pumpkin, or sprinkle slippery elm powder on his food.
If this is recurring, please take him to a vet. He may have gotten in to something (garbage?)
