I think worship is a bad thing. Following anything blindly leads to problems. However, respect is a great thing. You should definitely respect your ancestors and understand your heritage and the culture you came from. The reason why we study history is to learn from the past and grow from it. If you learn about your family history, then you can grow and learn from that.

i dont think so.
but in some cultures its prevalent.
perhaps you can use them like,you know for appealing to the higher god.just getting someone to back you up.
but that isn't worship.
so its absolutely up to you.
