and a stay forever or God will give them another chance . Jesus says forgive 7 times 70 . We have a mercy and grace to all. So, is God going to give chances to those in Hell. Jesus went there and brought some out of Hell and in to heaven or paradise.

Yes people will go to hell, if they don't have Jesus as their saviour. Jesus died once for all. He won't die and be missing again for 3 days in hell. So he won't go to hell again to give a second chance, as he did when he died. The only second chance now is while you are alive. 7 x 70 means "complete" so God forgave sinners completely at the cross. God was merciful unto death. There is then no excuse for anyone to go to hell as they are forgiven. People who go to hell then are those who have rejected God's mercy. What more can God do? He died to be merciful.

God does not want anyone to perish. Therefore He gives you a chance to repent now!

No, because if He did that would make His judgment to be a lie. Once a person has been sentenced by God to go to Hell, there is no getting out.

It does not matter what you 'think' or 'want to believe'. God is merciful but He is also Just. If a person does not follow His word or even believe that He exists in the first place, why should they be given a chance to change their mind out of pure fear of being punished for disobedience.

I know this is a harsh statement, but it is time for people to stop sugar coating the truth and consequences of people's actions.

The bible says that the people that reject the gospel will go to hell (paraphrased). They will not get a second chance.
Jesus went to Hell and preached the gospel to those who had died before His first advent. Those that accepted the gospel and repented were given a second chance. Those that rejected it stayed in Hell.

Yep but its not the hell envisioned by most nor is it the hell of Southpark. Its the hell of regret, of remorse at having missed ones opportunity in life to know and love the Creator of this vast universe.

Hell is remoteness from God and heaven is nearness to God.

Good point;in fact I have seen documentaries on people who had near death experiences and they went to hell and called on Jesus name at the last second;as soon as they did, they were pulled into God`s presence and God told them to go back and change their lives for the better.I believe God is very merciful and loving even when we don`t deserve it sometimes.

Hi,

I guess that would depend on your interpretaton of Hell.

If you refer to hell as that place meaning outer darkness the place prepaired for the sons of perdition (those having commited the unpardonable sins) then yes there are and will be a very few that are destin by there own acts to go there without recourse.

If you view hell as any sort of damnation (a cestation of progress), then there are certianly many who are damned by choise both in this state of life and will remain so in the next state until they of their own volition choose another path.

Jesus not only taught we must forgive, but that we through our willingness to cast off that wihich is false, must accept forgiveness.

It is not the will of our Father that we are damned (fail to progress). His will is that we have joy and share in all that he has, he has shown us the way. It is sure. It is our choice weather to progress and achive or to damn ourselves. This is the case in this state of life and will be so in the next.

The laws of God are forever. They do not change to suit the environment. They are as we refer to them, natural law. The difference in this state of being is that we, by virtue of this proving period, have a shroud, call it what you may, over our memory. It is a necessary part of our proving. That shroud will be lifted once again in the next state and we will have a pure knowlege once again (this was necessary that we might progress as we had achived all that we could in our first state). Our charicter as we have developed it will remain with us as well.

Damnation will occur as a result of choice to those who will shrink at the knowledge of truth, in the face of their developed charicter. Those who will choose to overcome thier faulty nature and accept truth and responsibility for the choices they made in this state will be allowed to progress and through the mercy of God will not have to bear the weight of thier failings for all eternity.

This is not to say that there will not be a need for repentance just as there is in this state of life. There will be. It is a natural law as well. But the way has been made possible. It is the will of God that we progress toward enlightenment until we reach perfection. Damnation (a stoppage of progress) occurs only as a result of our ability to choose another course.

It is clear that the will of God is to forgive, yes, there are, as far as we know two unforgivable sins, yet for all else there has been made sure the way to return to the path of progression.

God is the same today, yesterday, and forever. Our willingness to learn grow and progress is the variable.

This I know to be true!

"Hell" has been mistranslated from words like "sheol" and "hades," which mean "grave" and "unseen or covered."

Ask any Christian why they haven't plucked out their eye or cut off their hand/foot to stay out of hellfire, as Jesus said. They know that is symbolic. Yet the fire of hell is literal?

Give me a break!

And do you really think there is a Hell where sinning mortals will burn for eternity? This is a SYMBOLIC image not to be taken LITERALLY! If sinners were to remain in Hell forever, how would anyone learn how to improve and learn from their mistakes? God has set up our lives on earth from which we can learn, make mistakes, correct ourselves and move on, better than we were before and Hell is here, now, according to our choices, right or wrong, that we make day to day. These silly images of fire and brimstone! Heaven and Hell exist today, and we have been granted free will alongside God's plans of our destinies for us, where these aspects of existence interact. But the power to direct our destinies is fully provided from God. He is not a dictator or some severe disciplinarian. These are fear tactics from men interfering with the word of God! Man wants power. God has all the power. So, certain enterprising men have come up with some pretty brilliant scenarios in which they have ended up discovering much power for themselves through divine declarations. Yes, God works in mysterious ways, but take it with a grain of salt, you will get what you deserve, but likely you will be taught your lesson here, so you can re-learn what you were supposed to have grasped in the first place, and so you can change yourself for the better. What really indicates to me, that a lot of divine words have been interfered with by man, is certain religious omens, one in particular by the Jehovah's witnesses - that only a certain number of humanity will be allowed into the kingdom of Heaven. What godly reason would the Divine One have, for creating humanity, only to exclude the vast majority from attaining to glory in heaven? It's a set-up of a sheep mentality for mankind to follow out of supreme fear of rotting forever in Hell in not following a certain religious way of thought. This excludes those of divine inspiration from other religious disciplines, so what is the true sense in that? Man is merely attempting to have all men adhere to one supreme religious way of thought as opposed to another, in the attempt to grab power on earth for those of a certain calling. And it's damn everyone else! What a lot of human manipulation for their own gains! If divinity were certain, would we not all be of one thought and persuasion? How is it that there are so many interpretations of the word of God? Does He speak with a forked tongue? Come on! There is absolutely no purpose to be gained by this mass confusion we all seem to have about divinity and all its' vastly varying forms and expressions. All we're getting is major alphabet soup and killing one another in the process of trying to determine who's deity is better than the other's! A direct visitation from the Divine would be all that is necessary to lead people into seeing the Way. All this hocus pocus, and now you see me, and now you don't, is all so silly! Yes, there must be some all knowing all seeing divinity but it is not exactly as it was originally written, if it ever was at all! Men have so tampered with all that is divine that no one knows what's real and what's memorex anymore! We should all pay more attention to the fact that our acts are rewarded by more of the same. If you do well unto others, you will receive goodness. If you perpetrate evil, you will make enemies and someone will exact your punishment, and usually very soon within your own lifetime. It's called Karma! What you put out into the universe, so you will receive! It's an unwritten cosmic law! You have the power and ability to choose between Heaven or Hell by your actions, every day, every minute! So, be good, take care, and you will have a good life!
