No, nokia N73 is not a GENUINE replacement for your digital camera.
First of all, y need at least 5 MPix to shoot good photos.
These photos are really taken well as they are either remains in a RAW codition or convertion algorithm rate remains higher while N73 or mobile phones compress the pictures as much as possible that low down the quality.
Secondly, Xenon flash is a must to shoot pictures in night or even slight dark conditions while N73 stands with a poor LED Flash.
Thirdly most digital cameras have various ISO SENSITIVITY that lets y to take photos in right conditions. Most cameras have ISO 400,800,1000,1600 while ISO definition in N73 is very poor.
Fourthly , Auto focus:auto focus in most digital cameras are recently very strong while mobile phones like n73 or n93i are just developing it.
Finally, the processor chip in cameras like canon, kodak, nikon, olympus and sony is very fast and advanced while N73 does not ensure better pic quality at all.
So, if y have a good branded digital camera with even 3 MPix.Y dont need to think of a camera mobile phone.
Just think of to upgrade to a 5 MPix or higher resolution digital cameras.

It all depends how many pixels your camera has. The N73 is the best phone and the camera is brilliant. Good choice....

of course not....take a pic ... magnify it about 100% and c the disaster ....i have n73 and i use it just for making calls.

course not.
digital cameras in my opinion need to be at least 6MP, also they need good storage capacity and an easy upload function.
Give it 2 years though and im sure they will be on par.
