Two ways

The permanent way is to re-encode the stuff WITH the text by some sort of logo overlay. However, it may be faster to cut out a piece, add the logo to that piece, then stitch the pieces back together without reencoding the whole thing. The free VDub/VDubMod can use the Logo filter to do that, if you design the logo.

If the player supports subtitles, you can make a quick subtitle file that displays some text constantly at the bottom, even make them scroll or do some special effects. However, only players that support subtitles will see them.
