Aztecs had the coco beans but i think the spanish or swiss actually created chocolate as we know it.

The Mayans, I think, or the Incas, or the Aztecs. South American cultures, anyhow. They had the cacao beans to work with. Of course, they just drank it cold. The English were the ones who made hot chocolate.
