It has been out less than a month and alot of people want it. The only way I would get Vista is to buy a new computer with 2 mg of Ram and buy it from Dell because it is the easiest to fix. Because for the most part you just have to replace the Motherboard.
Windows XP2 will be supported until 2014 so why would run out and buy it and find out you do not have the specs to support it.
Keep your Windows XP SP2 for awhile

i trust mixed primary. i needed to improve usually because i needed to have a 64bit OS on operating my 64bit cpu and that i also artwork on pcs so that is smart for me to study a sparkling OS rapidly. It put in truly and worked with my equipment without actual hardware topics. i actually imagine that is swifter then my previous win2k installation. The person interface is enormously different, and frequently i imagine Microsoft only tried to be different even although previous strategies are extra usable. You get used to it after a lengthy time period although. so a strategies as software compatibility - that is been usually superb, yet I have had to pay to improve a number of my applications together with Nero (burning software) to get it operating with Vista, as my previous Nero software no longer worked. the protection would not seem that a lot different to me. After operating vista for a month I ran undercover agent ware scanning software and placed countless undercover agent ware topics clone of XP. (and that i have protection software put in). There are extra gains, yet i extremely have not performed with them to a great deal yet. So, it extremely relies upon on in case you pick to be on the slicing area or no longer. if so, then bounce in yet anticipate some minor topics.

there is actually a tool on the microsoft site to see if your rig is compatiable. SHould NOT need to upgrade anyof the componets, or a whole system. THose Dell reps sound worse than used car saleman.

No one will really be able to determine that until the SP-2. It has a lot of capability but lots of bugs right now.
