If you don't want to get pregnant yes. It has nothing to do with where you are now, but where you have been in the past. STDs don't expire when you are in a committed relationship. If pregnancy is not a threat (on the pill etc) and you have both been cleared for STDs and HIV, then yes do it. If you haven't been tested, then use that rubber!

I used a condom so that I would not get pregnant the first year I was married. The pill works well but between the pill and condom your chances are pretty slim. So if you are in a committed relationship and you are ok with getting pregnant go for it. Otherwise use a condom everytime and get on the pill.

yes, even if your planning on wanting children unless you want then NOW. i made the mistake by not using them and now I'm a proud parent. also if he's not a virgin which only he knows the answer, you have to think of the other women that he might have gone without a condom with. men don't even show symptoms for a lot of std's but you can still get them. so talk about it with him and if you want to go without go get tested first and get a good birth control, they sell spermicide that you can use even without a condom. just be smart.

Yes, but after both parties have been tested, stayed faithful, and six months has passed, it is not necessary. It takes 6 MONTHS for some diseases (such as HIV) to show up. You make the call. Even if he or she tested clean 3 months ago, doesn't mean you're really untouched by an STD. Scary stuff this LOVE making, huh? Too bad it has to be such a way!

Yes, If you don't want an unplanned pregnancy and you haven't both had a test for sexually transmitted diseases recently.
Many communities offer these annonymous tests for free now and even though you would like to believe your partner is honest about their previous sexual contact, you can never be too sure.
If you have been tested and you are both free of any diseases then there are other forms of birth control available that may be more comfortable for the both of you.

I haven't. Mind you I've seen the Oprah episode when she had all those women infected with AIDS and they claimed to be in monogamous relationships. I just just because you're in a committed relationship ( more than 1yr) doesn't mean that once in a while you shouldn't get tested.

It depends how long you've been together and you have complete trust in the other person.
It also depends on the race of the other person. I was watching CNN this morning and african-american women in the USA are 24 times more likely to have HIV than a caucasion women. I'm sure the statistics on black men are just as sobering, if not more so.

Depends. Some people to if the girl is not on birthcontrol. Others don't. It's about what each couple is comfortable doing and how ready they are to deal with the things that can happen when you don't use them.
