I'm in the same boat. I am 20 and 143 lbs. I am 5'5''. I do tech support- so I sit on my butt all day and take calls. Then I would go home, smoke a bowl of pot, shower, and go to bed after eating chips, cookies, candy, and probably a 3 course meal. I started to gain weight big time. I recently quit smoking pot- b/c it made me lazy and I started to get chunky.Just like everyone else- I want to lose the weight without pills or exercise. I am going to try walking a mile once a week and eating small snacks throughout the day- and a 3 course meal about 5:30-6 PM. The small sacks throughout the day are supposed to boost your metabolism so you will have more energy to exercise more- THEN I can move up to 2 miles a week with this busy work schedule.I will letchya know if it works for me!

The biggest thing about losing weight is making sure you are doing a combination of things. Its not just about dieting more then its about diet. Get a daily exercise routine going, even if its just a brisk walk. You need to break a sweat and elevate you heart rate. Walking to the dairy queen ain't gona do it.
You also need to understan your diet and metabolism. Your body only needs a certain amount of calories to operate. Anything over the about 2000 daily that is not used is saved for later use. It is stored as fat. Also remember that there are certain foods that are used first for energy. The rest is saved .
So eat healthy, watch your intake, now how much your body needs to operate (talk to a Dr. or dietician) and exersice.

Exercise and eat right all you can do if you aren't fat, but you are.

My suggestion would be to eat 6 small meals a day to increase your metabolism. Cardio is great at burning fat, but before you do cardio, do some weight training. It takes the body 15 minutes to warm up, so if you weight lift before you run, then you'll get more out of the cardio.

Eat more good food (fruits and vegetables,) and less junk. Get a little more exercise (brisk walking, or?) Drink more water. Use a good salt, one with all 14 trace minerals, not just sodium chloride.
