I asked a girl to our valentines dance a few days ago. I'm in 9th grade, and she's in 10th. She's really nice, but when I asked her, she said that she would have to think about it. I talked to her this morning, and she said no, because "She had a bad experience at the valentine's dance last year". Is she just saying that to spare my feelings or is she telling the truth? I'm so confused.

Maybe you should ask her just that. Or maybe you should let it go and find someone else to ask. Its hard to say unless you hear it directly from her. But she did say she had to think about it. So maybe she was going with someone else and just trying to be nice to you...Take it either way:)

This i think is the hardest time for guys and girls i remember i was in the 9th grade and it was the kinda the same thing but i was at the dance already and this guy asked me out and i mean it took him forever to get the u know what to ask me and i agreed and thought cool up untill i talked to a few friends and the ppl all kinda wonderd what how could u go out with him and being young and niev i dumped him how stupid. So i kinda think its the same thing the thinking about it was her talking to her friends and they laughed and thats why she said no... move on ur better then her anyway i should know he never talked to me again and i dont blame him. Whats your social status? Bottom feeder? If it is, she's just sparing you the hurt. IF your in with her clique( god I hate that word) then she's probably telling you the truth, or she's sparing you the hurt.

Ask around, and see if you hear anything about her 'bad experience'..she might be telling the truth.
