my boyfriend and i broke up about two weeks ago, we were together about two months, i just wanted to know how long it normally takes a person to get over someone. im tired of thinking of him all the time and missing him, and being upset because i cant even talk to him. the break up was for the best, but i just dont want to feel lonely anymore. please give me any advice!

2 months isn't that long at all. If you are just sitting around sulking and thinking about him, then you're never going to get over him. Get out with your friends and move on.

About two weeks would be when you start to feel like dating, and about six weeks, it'll be fine. I'm sorry, but I'm glad you think it was for the best. That just means you've got some good stuff in your future, right?
Try to stay busy. Give yourself time to accomplish something you've been putting off, but need to get done. Do something that makes you feel good, like a mani-pedi or a massage. Write letters you don't send, or keep a journal expressing all the anger, hurt, and frustration you feel.

2 months isnt long at all you should have been over him by now man i wish i had that problem i was with a guy for 7 years and we broke up about 7 months ago and im still trying they say 6 months to every year you were together

hello shelly s it takes a couple of months but it is better for you to go find something good to do to take your mind of the subject of him and just let the whole thing pass on and start over again when the right one comes along
