I am convinced there is life after death for one reason: Jesus Christ died and was placed in a tomb—and three days later came back to life.
Think about it a moment: What would it take to prove to us that there is life after death? The answer is clear: Someone would have to die, and then come back to life again. It wouldn't be enough for them to have a so-called "near-death" experience; their death would have to be real. And it wouldn't be enough for only one or two people to see them; it would require many witnesses.
But has this ever happened? Yes—when Jesus Christ rose from the grave! His death was real; hard-bitten Roman guards made sure He was dead before they took Him down from the cross. And His resurrection was real also, because hundreds saw Him during the next forty days. Paul, writing over 25 years later, noted that "he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living" (1 Corinthians 15:6).
How could this happen? It happened because Jesus Christ was not just another man. He was God's only Son, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. Only He could say, "I am the resurrection and the life. ... Whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25-26). This can be your hope, by giving your life to Christ today.

No.
Despite thousands of years of various mythologies postulating some kind of life after death, and thousands of years of adherents of one myth or another trying to prove it, there is still no evidence of any kind that there is any kind of existence after death. None. Zero. Zip.
And if your "research" on "many religion" teaches you that it all comes down to one supreme god, then you haven't done much research. Throughout history, monotheism is the exception rather than the rule -- the vast majority of religions have always had more than one god (a good argument can even be made for polythesim for modern christianity, which calls god the father, god the son, and god the holy spirit three different people but "one god" which makes no sense, and catholics who have thousands of "saints" which in many ways are worshipped as gods).
Go do some more "research" -- and be sure to include real facts from science in your research as well as mythological superstitions from religions.
Peace.

Yes there is. You don't have to find salvation to get it either. It doesn't matter what religion you are. There are many paths to the same place. The divine our creator/s cares for all of us, regardless of race, creed or situation in life. We are here to learn lessons for the progression of our souls. It is necessary to live in the flesh in order to experience certain facets of life. Our bodies are designed to live only a certain amount of years so that our souls can go on to the next phase. Unfortunately the next phase (the afterlife) must be preceeded by death. It is not a bad thing though, just misunderstood.
When we die our soul moves on to the next plane of existence and makes a choice of what it would like to experience next. Life and death are all part of nature for the soul. You may have a different path than someone else, but ultimately we all go to the same place. It is your own soul that chooses the path you will follow in THIS life.
There is a lot of proof of life after death out there if you have an open mind. People have left thier bodies upon brain death and come back to tell the tale of what they saw. Here is an excellent site containing scientific proof of life after death:

Gen.3:19;
Eccl.9:5: the living are conscious that they will die but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all.
Ps.146:4 : his spirit goes out he goes back to his ground in that day his thoughts do perish
John 11:11-14
Ezek.18:4 " the soul that is sinning it itself will die"
Eccl.9:6 "their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun"
Isa.26:14"they are dead they will not live. Impotent in death, they will not rise up
Read Genesis 2:17: If a father warns his son that doing a certain thing will cost him his life would you say that the father wants the son to do it? Then what really is gods will regarding mankind? Jesus said: This is the will of my father that every one that beholds the Son{that is perceives and acknowledges that Jesus truly is Gods son] and exercises faith in him shoudl have everlasting life, adn I will resurrect him at the last day. Consciousness survives after death, according to most religions. Even in Buddhism (where there isn't a supreme God) consciousness survives, to reincarnate into a new body. To me it makes most sense to assume that God has nothing to do with it. It's our own karma that decides our fate, before and after death.

Yes there is life after death. There is heaven for the good people and hell for the bad people who made life hard for people on earth. We have a soul and this soul will live forever. We have to try to go to heaven because it is heaven forever or hell forever. Heaven is better. No pain, no sorrow, only God and His children and angels. In hell, it's fire, and sorrow and no God forever and ever. People have died and their hearts were restored and they say they have actually seen heaven so I think, know and believe it is true.

What's the meaning of life now if there's no life after death?
There must be no doubt that there is a God, a God that created this whole perfect system, and this God told us via the Holy Qur'an that there is an eternal life after death.
So my answer is .. Of course there is life after death. just look deeper in your self and around you and you will find the answer..
Good Luck.
