to be a RESPONSIBLE breeder you need to verify the traits your dog has, and verify traits of any stud to ensure they are genetically different enough and to ensure you are not breeding bad/undesirable traits into them (ie. hip displaysia in german shepherds). Check with breeders in the area if you are serious about coming one - they will be able to help you.

Use the Pedigree Papers to choose a mate. Make sure that you aren't breeding in negative traits. Check Breed Standards. Do not breed your dog if it does not carry it's Pedigree and do not breed to another dog without it's Pedigree Paper.

Keep the breed pure and don't breed if you don't have the Pedigree papers.

Be very, very, careful that you don't introduce negative traits back and forth. Check with breeders in your area, they will be more than willing to help you breed your dog IF it carries the Pedigree Papers.

Everbody is gonna say dont breed him, cause there are none of other dogs out there...... bla bla bla.
They are most liekly breeders them selfs and dont want competion if you know what I mean. That dosnet mean you should just breed to make some money though, cause there are alot of dogs out there. Really consider what your doing before you make a decision. This is gonna take hours of hours of work, spending money on heating, vet bills, stud fee, papers, and alot more. Breeding isnt an easy thing.
I dont know if this site is for Cananda, but you can try:
www.akc.org its American Kennel Club you guys are american, so it might work. Good luck! Hope you choose wisley!

you do not want to breed to a malamutE unless it has some of the same genealogy as your dog... you also want the dog to be a breed champion... and to have all pertinent health testing... you probably should not breed your dog until you yourself show your dog and have her evaluated by a competent Malamute breed judge,,, and if you successfully show your dog and she gets her championship there will be people who will allow their prize winning stud dogs to come visit your *****... other than that you are just going to get an inferior unproven stud dog.. etc. etc.. you know the old song and dance about Backyard /Puppy mill breeding. Contact the breeder of your dog.........

Well, it is great the "tdude" cannot tell if the akc.org site is for Canada. Guess he doesn't know that AMERICAN kennel club means AMERICAN kennel club. Not CANADIAN kennel club.

FIrst learn to spell your breeds name, or you look like an idiot. Second, get health clearances. Hips especailly. You can use the American registry for that...OFA, or the Canadian...OVC.

See your vet and get x-rays. There is NO EXCUSE for breeding unhealthy dogs.
