You don't have to pay.

Look thru the Free Efile options , some only need the credit card if you want them to file state also . . .
They do fed free but charge about $20 for state.
Click thru them until you find one that doesn't need the cc.
Or just print the 1040s from the IRS page and file the old fashioned paper way, it is pretty easy.

You can either pay an extra 29.95 to have turbo tax deduct it from your refund or go out and buy a rechargeable credit card and just put how much the fee for the tax preparation is on it.

hnrblock.com has there online taxcut software where you dont need a credit card, you can take the cost out of the refund or directly withdrawn from your checking account, its rather cheap too 29 bucks for federal and state

Go to turbotax.com, if you qualify (didn't make enough money) then you can efile for free. And you'll get the money in as little as 9 days.

at Taxact online..you can efile your federal taxes Free...I've done it the past several years...and its really simple...as for state...try your state goverment page....you should be able to do that one free also...
