I wouldn't say that it is news, because the definition of NEWS according to the dictionary is as follows:

a report of a recent event

The bible is not a recent event. It has been around for centuries. Anyone could have read this at any time since it was first published in the 15th century.

Perhaps your question should have been is this "information" the best?
If it's true, then it's wonderful to know.

Thats a good verse.Neways you all say that you dont believe in false idols.Bullshit.You might not believe in a Superior being but you might idol something else that is materialistic like booze or Gene simmons or whatever.I'd rather believe in God than believe in something that will lead me to self destruction. And stop hating on Christians.

yes it is. like the others have said, and it did happen, you face ridicule by the non christians. jesus suffered and died for us, blessed are those who suffer for him. he who loses his life will find it. im not afraid of what non christians might say nor will it affect my decision to be for the lord god in heaven.

Substitutionary atonement is forbidden.
Sacrifice outside the temple is forbidden.
Human sacrifice (and Jesus was, according to Christians, True god and True man) is forbidden.

Jesus could not have died for your sins, period. He was a deceiver. If YHVH actually turned out to exist, then Jesus was of Satan.

If on the other hand you're Jewish, yeah, that's some pretty decent news. However, the Jews believe that promise was made to them, not the goyim. Therefore, it wouldn't be good news to me (though many jews I knw have declared that I am a Jewish Soul born to Gentile circumstances, because of my interest and depth of study in Talmud and Kabbalah).

No, simply because faith is not the only source of joy in my life. Please do not expect everyone to find it joyous just because it makes you feel that way. It is like a favorite song or chocolate. You may enjoy it but it won't be hard to find someone else who can't stand it.

It's profoundly depressing that people can believe in such fantasies. You devote so much of your lives clinging to illusions-when the time comes God will ask you to account for the time you wasted mindlessly adhering to theologcal dogma instead of showing tolerance and compassion to your fellow man.

the best news in the bible for me is
John 14

1. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God ; trust also in me.
2. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

You really don't understand what "news" means. First, it's something new. Second, it's something real.

I wouldn't quote stuff from the Lord of the Rings about sauron destroyed as good news - see, it's not new, and it's from a work of fiction.
