Excuse me I don't know if i might sound awkward but i'm in kind of a state of "confusion" or what should i call it. It's like this, i'm dating some very nice guy that i met through a friend of mine. We are into the third month of our relationship. I have always made the bed in my previous relationships. I've noticed that my boyfriend loses alot of body hair which is visible on the bed sheets in the morning. At first i thought he had shaved in the bed and when i commented about it i got no answer, he just stared at me and ignored me for the first time. But then it continued and i don't know if its something i don't know about. We are not having rough sex and it's not even every day. We recreate like three times a week and sometimes save it for the weekend. It's my first boyfriend outside my ethnic group (black). Is there anyone experiencing the same phenomena?

I know he is hairy in comparison to the guys i've previously dated and i have no problem about that. I just need to know if is ok that he (like one answerer called it) sheds hair on a daily basis. I thougt it was my body cream he was reacting to (cocoa butter). When he told me he liked the smell of the cream one time during love making, I always make sure i have it on at bedtime. I thought it was his coming into contact with it that was causing tihs.

To the answerer who asked whether my boyfriend showers before bedtime. Well it depends. Sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't. You mean I should suggest that he showers everyday regardless. The hair is not a problem i was just being concerned but its not a problen in our relation that would cause me to ask him to shower even when he's dead tired.

My best friend (a girl who is from Peru) told me most light skinned guys who have body hair also shed some during the night. My boyfriend is of Irish origin (both parents) and i love him to death.

I really dont know. Im so sorry. I do know in nursing school we did learn that stress can make any person lose hair..(anywhere)
I dont mean stress from the relationship either, just job stress or such. This may not even be it though...Im just going off of what I remember.
Just wash the sheets more often or frequently and see if you can notice a change.
Im not sure...Im sorry....
Hope this helps some..

Well, if he is a hairy guy, then naturally he will have more hair to lose.

I have a very hairy chest and stomach, and I shed a lot of hair too, but it isn't enough that my wives or girlfriends have complained about it. That I know of??

Does he shower before he goes to bed? That may help...

Edit: Yes, showering may help by removing the hair he lost all during the day. I know when I shower, there is a lot of body hair collected in the hiar catcher... Yeah, unfortunately I AM that hairy... lol

in regard to your question about hair loss, this is not something that you would find as simple shedding of hair, he may be suffering from a condition called alopecia which causes the hair from all over the body to fall out. i think it is caused through a nervous condition. maybe you should talk to your friend and see if they know anything about it.some medication also causes this to happen, he may be embarrassed about it so be thoughtful when you approach the subject. just let him know that you will support him whatever it happens to be. also chemotherapy is a cause so good luck. i don't think it has anything to do with ethnic groups.

i'm sorry, but that is EW. sorry, i didn't mean to sound rude, it's just i never heard of that happening. he may be embarrassed about it. just talk to him. i've never had that happen to me, but people do lose hair every day. just don't embarrass him.
