Okay, so I like this girl a lot. We've been smiling and hugging and waving at each other for almost 6 months now. The problem is, I don't have a good idea on how I should ask her to prom. So my question is, what is the best way to ask her to prom without making it seem like I wanna ask her out?

hmmm its always good to get creative.
for tolo, one of my friends made a plate of cookies and underneath wrote "tolo?" on the plate so once he ate the cookies there was a surprise!
This guy made a sign out of lego's and hung it outside the school
I think a great idea would be to soak a fortune cookie in a little water for a few seconds then microwave it for a short time so it gets soft enough to open without breaking it and put it a new one that says "prom?? -(name)" and you could just hand it to her but I think it would be better to get chinese food and switch her fortune cookie so she gets the one you "improvised" instead

If you have been smiling, hugging, waving, and stuff, then it should feel ok to ask her to the prom. it would kind of sound like asking her out, but she probably will accept.

Thats a paradox. Essentially, you are asking someone out if you ask them to prom. Why else would you want to ask them to prom for? So they could go with someone else?
Anyways, you should just ask. Duh. Use a text message or something.

ask her if she has a date even if you no she dosent. then ask if she wants to go w/ you because youll think youll have th emost fn w/ her...and then reasure her that prom dosnt have to be a date, it jsut has to be fun
