What I've learned is this: you're ready when you're ready.
If you're freezing up and becoming terrified of a guy, then you might need a little more time to get over your last boyfriend.
This need for companionship just might be the residual loneliness that comes with breaking up with someone where time and distance was an issue.
Or maybe you're just nervous. Don't go hunting around for the next guy; it will just make you more nervous.
Instead, try to find some new guy friends.
People that you feel comfortable around, that you can have fun with- (without peeing your pants in terror).
And perhaps one of those friendships will turn into something closer.
But don't force it and don't feel that you need to be in a relationship to be happy.
You might just need more time.

It sounds like your still upset about the break up. Time is all that can really heal that pain. It might take some time, but it will come some day when you find the perfect person for you. If your not the one to mess around to get over pain i wouldnt suggest dating someone to try and feel better, becuase it could end up making more pain for you. Just hang in there. Dont worry about it! if you really want to get back into the dating game, you'll know when you're ready. For that extra push though, try starting out being freinds with a guy and then work from there. if the friendship seems to be going well, you can get to know him abit better and therefore your trust for him will build up by itself.
