I'm not dropping out of high school so most of your comments are useless. i'm debating in english class on this subject: diplomas are necessary to succeed in life. and i'm just trying to get some ideas for good arguments.

Yes, there are quite a few, mostly low paying jobs. Competition for low paying jobs is quite keen. You can work for Wal-Mart, hamburger joint, you can join the military, you can be a migrant farm worker, etc.

If you don't have a high school diploma, at least study and take the GED exam. At least show that you have learned enough language and math to be equivalent to having graduated high school.

I read Daniel's response below. His recommendation is to lie. Lying is a sign of shame. Many who do not finish high school live with this shame for the rest of their lives. I think you would rather be proud of yourself. Pass the GED and go on to college and be prouder still. If you join the armed forces, they even help pay for college. You don't even need to fight since most military play a supporting role.

You can do very well financially as a CPR instructor. CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which is something you do until the ambulance arrives. Contact the American Lifeguard Association. And by the way, if you say you graduated from high school, nobody's ever going to check.
