What do you mean by 'directly to God'? Do you send somebody to heaven to give Him the money?
God already owns all the money in the world, silly.

in my church, 10% goes to priests, 20% goes to scholarships, 35% goes to charities, 20% goes to helping the needy directly, and 5% goes to keeping the church nice

it a good system because everyone benefits, the priests kids, parenst, the needy, and poor
