make sure she has, an Urgent health check up, by her vet
she may have tooth or gum disease, which can be rectified '
Or some other digestion problem
if she is a bit arthritic ( unusual but posible in such a young dog )
exercise 3 x per day, is probably too much
and leaves her in pain and exhausted
See what the vet says --- you may need
to cut down, to 2 shorter walks until she is feeling fitter .
Sleep is good for her , let her sleep as long as she wants to .
the diet of chicken +rice sounds fine
but the vet may suggest another dog food
which is soft and extra nourishing, as well .
+ a vitamin supplement
I hope your retriever, will soon be in tip top condition again

Answer
Hi Carol,
A sure sign that a dog is sick, is that he won't eat. I think you probably should take him to a Vet if he doesn't start eating soon. Not eating is a sign that something else is wrong. If he has any of these symptoms, then you need to take him to a Vet: vomiting, diarrhea, any sign fo blood, unsteady and/or staggering, won't get up, foaming at the mouth, and/or no energy. If he does not have any of these symptoms and still refuses to eat, then you should still have him looked at. As I said, if a dog won't eat, he is sick.
God Bless,
Becky
But here is my professional help :
Many times a dog will stop eating for a few days before they go into heat. They usually go into heat around 8 or 9 months. Try the suggestion of mixing in some wet food. Is she still drinking water. If not you may have to take her to the vet and have her looked over. My dog stopped eating before her heats and right in the middle of her pregnency too. It usually passes. Hers did, but we had to mix some wet food in to her dry. Later we had to give her just wet food. . Good luck with yours, hope she eats soon.

Why did you just give dry food? It is really boring for a dog unless there is a medical reason to use dry food. Try her with something like Pedigree Chum (Beef or Chicken etc.) mixed with normal dog meal. One meal a day should be enough provided you give her some breakfast. Mine used to love cornflakes with milk or Weetabix . Make sure she always has plenty of fresh water, but I am sure you know that.

Many dogs are fed only one meal per day and they do just fine. However, if your dog is refusing to eat and she's losing weight, she needs to be examined by a vet to make sure there is no medical problem.

She needs to go to the vet - this sounds more like a medical problem than a behavioural one

She may be sick... Take her to the vet. There is no reason for a sudden change unless something has happened. Is her nose still moistured? If it's dry, you gotta bring her to clinic immediately.

he's doing that because he's satisfied to work out you and he needs your interest. hence, even as he jumps on you, go your hands over your chest and look on the sky, completely overlook about him. even as he has all 4 paws on the floor (sitting or status), then greet him warmly. even as he jumps on you back, and he will, do an identical action. this can take countless situations yet he will study that with assistance from jumping he does no longer get interest, yet even as he's behaving nicely, he does get interest.
