Since they are addictive I would say no -- you shouldn't let something control you like that -- it is also cruel to you loved ones as there is a very good chance they will give you lung cancer -- a lot of good can be done with all that money people needlessly spend feeding such an unnecessary and unhealthy addiction (not to mention dirty and smelly...)
On the other hand I would make an exception for anyone who smokes a very occasional pipe or cigar -- assuming it can be done without really affecting health or becoming an addiction

No one should. The health risks are well known now. For a Christian, we have the added admonition from Scripture that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Using tobacco is not a sin unless you make it a sin. If you are a minor and it is illegal for you to smoke, and your parents tell you not to smoke-then it would be a sin for you. How much you smoke or chew does not matter. If you are an adult, and are part of some religious group who swears not to use tobacco-then any amount would be sin for you.
If you do not vow not to use tobacco-then you can smoke til you die of lung cancer and it will not be a sin.

It should be up to the individual and then its God's job to let that person know if they should quit ... not the church or the pharisees who live by the law .... Christ came back to show people how to live in the spirit ... a direct link between god and man so god can communicate what he wants to that person and what is best for that person ... because no one knows what is best for another person ... they should not try to control anyone ...they should look at the log in their own eye instead of the sliver in his brother's eye .... know what i mean ...
The question should be god do you want me to smoke or to ________ or to ___________? not should Christians smoke or what ever the question may be ......

I believe we shouldn't use tobacco at all. It harms the body, the temple of the Holy Spirit.

I do, there isnt anywhere in the bible where it says that I shouldn't. For the ones that say no, can we drink coffee, tea, soda pop, eat chocolate, have a glass of wine?
